Brad Paisley invited John Fogerty on stage during a Shoreline Amphitheater gig in Mountain View, California late last week. The Creedence Clearwater Revival fronter helped out on "Hot Rod Heart," a song the two cut for Fogerty's recent duets album, Wrote a Song For Everyone.
During the encore, Paisley invited Fogerty back up on the stage, and the two teamed up for the Fogerty track "Centerfield" and the Paisley track "Alcohol." They closed with the classic "Proud Mary."
Also on hand at the event was Chris Young, the sidelined opener on Paisley's tour who, coming off a nasty leg infection and hospital stay, was wheeled out onto the stage in a hospital gown as a goof by opening act Lee Brice.
"Thank god I don't have to sit down, because Brad called me after it all went down and he's like, 'Please tell me you have to sit on a stool, please tell me you have to sit on a stool, because we're going to make fun of you,'" Young told MSN News. "I'm like, 'Nope. Unfortunately, you don't get to make fun of me today.'"
