Former "Man vs. Food" host Adam Richman is known for his shocking feats of competitive eating, but now the host has opened up on his amazing weight loss. Richman recently dropped 60 pounds despite his culinary exploits and explained his weight loss routine with People Magazine.
He tells the mag that most of his weight loss was attributed to cutting back on white flour-based foods and increasing exercise. He noted, however, the diet had its own set of challenges:
"The crew got a bunch of pizzas, and it was all I could smell," he says. "It sucked. But I had a Greek yogurt with raw almonds, water and an iced coffee, and I was satisfied."
Richman has since retired his competitive eating apron but says he still remembers his "Man vs. Food" days fondly: "Man v. Food was the biggest career-defining opportunity. I went from anonymity to someone of note with access to amazing eateries."
