Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has revealed that the band is planning on embarking on a world tour next year. Speaking to The Sun, the guitarist said that the band will get together in February next year for another run of shows:
"While the big wheel is rolling we are going to capture it before it stops totally."
He added that the band was overwhelmed by the reaction to their 50th anniversary gigs, including their performance at Glastonbury festival: "Everybody had a smile on their face, which was brilliant."
In response to Wood's announcement, a band spokesperson told NME that there are "no firm plans yet."
The band will release the DVD version of Sweet Summer Sun - Hyde Park Live, filmed during the band's Hyde Park gig on November 11. A live album recorded during the shows has already been released.
