Oil-Dri Posts Q4 Profit

Oil-Dri Corp. of America (ODC) Friday reported fourth-quarter profit of $4.74 million or $0.67 per share, compared to a loss of $108 thousand or $0.02 per share in the same quarter a year ago.

Sales improved 4.5 percent to $63.89 million from $61.12 million last year.

Lab equipment maker Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has agreed to acquire electron microscope maker FEI Co. for about $4.2 billion in cash, the two companies said Friday.
