Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Garner are featured in a public service announcement for the government's Let Girls Learn campaign, an initiative designed to provide quality education to girls around the world. In connection with the program, USAID announced $230 million for programs supporting education worldwide.
"In Nigeria, hundreds of young girls were kidnapped as they prepared for their final exams at boarding school," Garner says in the video.
Also featured in the video message are Alicia Keys, Susan Sarandon, Julie Bowen, Josh Duhamel, DeAndre Jordan and Tyler Perry.
"Around the world 62 million girls are not in school. Millions more are fighting to stay there. Let Girls Learn is a new effort by the United States Government, and led by USAID, to provide the public with meaningful ways to help all girls to get a quality education," reads a presser from USAID.
