Alaska Air: Horizon Air Names David Campbell President, COO - Quick Facts

Alaska Air Group, Inc. (ALK) Wednesday said the board of its unit Horizon Air has named David Campbell as president and chief operating officer. Glenn Johnson, president of Horizon Air, will retire on September 1.

Campbell has served as vice president of maintenance and engineering at jetBlue Airways, prior to which he was vice president of safety and operational performance at American Airlines.

He joined American in 1988 after serving for four years in the U.S. Air Force and has overseen maintenance, quality, technical operations and safety, Alaska Air said in a statement.
