L-3 Communications Holdings (LLL) reported second quarter EPS of $1.75 Thursday morning, down from $1.99 a year ago. Analysts had been expecting EPS of $2.02. The company now expects to report full year EPS of $7.90 to $8.10, compared to prior expectations of $8.20 to $8.40. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $8.42.
L-3 Communications gapped open sharply lower Thursday and declined during the first 45 minutes of trade, before settling into a range. The stock finished with a loss of 14.68 at $104.96 on the highest volume of the year. L-3 Communications fell to a 6-month low and dropped below its 200-day moving average.
