Slipknot have released "The Negative One," the band's first single in six years. They have also announced plans for the follow-up to their last record, 2008's All Hope Is Gone.
"The album is done," fronter Corey Taylor told The Pulse of Radio.
"Everything's done. Right now we're just, we're getting the artwork together, we're getting all the other accouterments together, and it's feeling really, really good. We're just stoked, you know. Now it's like, 'Okay, we need to hurry up and get it out,' you know. So yeah, we're really excited."
The music video for "The Negative One" is scheduled to drop August 5.
The band's Knotfest goes down October 24-26 in San Bernardino, California with Slipknot headlining with a different set on each of the three nights.
