Japan Manufacturing PMI On Tap For Friday

Japan will on Friday see preliminary April results for the manufacturing PMI from Nikkei, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. The PMI had a score of 52.4 in March.

Japan also will see February figures for the tertiary industry index, with forecasts suggesting an increase of 0.3 percent on month following the flat reading in January.

New Zealand will see April scores for the consumer confidence index from ANZ; in March, the index sank 1.7 percent on month to a score of 125.2.

Hong Kong will release March data for unemployment and consumer prices. In February, the jobless rate was 3.3 percent, while inflation eased 0.1 percent on year.
