Valeant Posting Strong Gain On Sale Of INova Pharmaceuticals

Shares of Valeant Pharmaceuticals (VRX) have shown a strong move to the upside during trading on Thursday, with the drug maker jumping by 8.6 percent.

The advance by Valeant comes after the company announced the sale of its iNova Pharmaceuticals unit to funds managed by Pacific Equity Partners and The Carlyle Group for $930 million in cash.

Ortho Dermatologics, a division of Valeant Pharmaceuticals, said it has received a Complete Response Letter or CRL from the FDA.
