Denmark Jobless Rate Climbs In July

Denmark's unemployment rate increased in July, after remaining stable in the previous six months, figures from Statistics Denmark showed Tuesday.

The seasonally adjusted jobless rate rose to 4.5 percent in July from 4.3 percent in June.

Gross unemployment grew to 121,100 in July from 116,400 in the preceding month.

The youth unemployment rate, which applies to the 16 to 24 age group, also climbed to 3.1 percent in July from 2.9 percent a month earlier.
