Google's Pixel 2 Is Coming Out On October 4

Google does not want to be left behind in launching new smart phones. After the recent launch of Galaxy Note 8 by Samsung and the iPhone X by Apple. Google appears to be planning a launch event for its second-generation of Pixel devices on October 4.

Google launched its flagship phones - the Pixel and the Pixel XL - at an event in San Francisco, California on October 4, 2016.

Both the devices with the "Phone by Google" branding were manufactured by Taiwan's HTC, with Google taking full credit for the design and the development process. The previous Google flagship phones were under the Nexus brand.

Google has now reportedly started a new marketing campaign and a website that urges viewers to ask more.

A new billboard by Google in Boston has a tag line "Ask more of your phone," with the Google logo and the date of October 4, suggesting that its Pixel 2 phones will be unveiled on the same day as last year.

Details leaked out have already indicated the features and looks of the upcoming Pixel 2, made by HTC. The larger Pixel 2 XL is reportedly being manufactured by LG Electronics and based on the LG V30, a handset deprived of bezels. It is said to support T-Mobile's new LTE frequency band, Band 71.

The Pixel 2 devices are likely to be available for pre-order almost immediately after their launch, with deliveries and in-store purchases slated about two weeks after that.
