SkyWest Announces Order Of 20 New Aircraft - Quick Facts

SkyWest, Inc. (SKYW) announced it has entered into aircraft purchase agreements and capacity purchase agreements to acquire and fly 15 additional new aircraft with Delta Air Lines and five additional new aircraft with Alaska Airlines. Expected delivery dates for the 20 aircraft run from September 2017 through the end of 2018.

SkyWest noted that combined with the prior month's announcement for 25 new aircraft, the announcement results in a cumulative order of 45 new aircraft.

Qualcomm Inc.'s former Chairman Paul Jacobs plans to acquire the chipmaker founded by his father and has approached several global investors in an effort to fund the buyout, the Financial Times reported. According to the report, Jacobs informed members of the Qualcomm board about his intention to take the company private. Qualcomm has a market capitalization of $90 billion. Tiffany & Co.
