Estonia Inflation Eases In September

Estonia's consumer price inflation eased in September after accelerating in the previous two months, figures from Statistics Estonia showed Friday.

The consumer price index climbed 3.7 percent year-over-year in September, slower than the 3.9 percent rise in August. The measure has been rising since August last year.

Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages grew 5.8 percent annually in September and transport costs went up by 3.6 percent.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged down 0.1 percent from August, when it increased by 0.4 percent.
