DaVita HealthCare Partners (DVA) Is Up Sharply After UnitedHealth Deal

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group (UNH), announced Wednesday morning that it agreed to buy DaVita Medical Group, a subsidiary of DaVita Inc. (DVA), for about $4.9 billion in cash.

DaVita HealthCare Partners gapped open sharply higher this morning and is now up 6.23 at $67.16 on above average volume. The stock has leaped to a 6-month high.
