New Zealand House Price Growth Accelerates In November: QV

New Zealand's house price growth accelerated in November, data published by the Quotable Value showed Thursday.

Residential property prices climbed 6.4 percent year-over-year in November, faster than the 3.9 percent rise in October.

When adjusted for inflation, the nationwide annual increase eased slightly to 4.4 percent and values were 33.9 percent above the 2007 peak.

In the Auckland region, residential property values dropped 0.5 percent in November, which was the slowest annual rate since March 2011, but values ticked up over the past quarter rising by 0.4 percent.
