CES 2018: Lyft, Aptiv Offer Self-Driving Rides

For countless visitors to next week's 2018 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, here is your chance to ride a self-driving car for the first time.

Lyft is partnering with Aptiv to pick up passengers from the Gold Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 9th-12th.

An Aptiv rep will first lecture you on "the positive impact automated cars will have on individual lives and communities" before firing up one of the eight BMW 5 Series in circulation.

Lyft and Aptiv hope to showcase how their self-driving cars handle the hustle and bustle of the city's busiest week.

Expect high demand for rides to a number of pre-set destinations, but any wait will be worth it when you brag on social media.

Explore the CES Self-Driving Tech Marketplace at the LVCC's North Plaza. Exhibitors include Nayva, Torc Robotics, Valeo and Autoliv.
