United Continental Holdings (UAL) Is Rising On December Results

United Continental Holdings (UAL) announced after the bell Tuesday that its December 2017 consolidated traffic increased 2.7 percent and consolidated capacity increased 3.7 percent from the prior year period. Consolidated load factor also decreased 0.8 points.

United Continental gapped open higher Wednesday morning and has continued to rise in early trade. Shares are now up 3.33 at $71.81. The stock has been gaining ground since mid-November and has set a 5 1/2 month high.
