Galliford Try H1 Pretax Profit Declines; Revenue Up 14% - Quick Facts

Galliford Try plc (GFRD.L) reported profit before tax of 56.3 million pounds for the half year ended 31 December 2017 compared to 63.0 million pounds, prior year. Basic earnings per share decreased to 56.3 pence from 61.9 pence. Pre-exceptional profit before tax was 81.3 million pounds, up 29% from prior year. Pre-exceptional basic earnings per share for the period was 80.8 pence compared to 61.9 pence.

For the half year to 31 December 2017, Group revenue was 1.40 billion pounds compared to 1.23 billion pounds, last year. Revenue (including share of joint ventures) was 1.49 billion pounds compared to 1.31 billion pounds.

The directors have declared an interim dividend of 28.0 pence per share which will be paid on 6 April 2018 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 16 March 2018.
