France's Korian Says Currently Not In Any Takeover Talks; Stock Down

French nursing homes manager Korian on Tuesday said it currently not in discussion with any investment fund regarding a possible acquisition of the company.

Korian, which provides care and support services for seniors with around 740 facilities, said it was responding to a rumor released in the press. Earlier, Bloomberg news agency reported that investment funds PAI Partners and KKR intend to buy Korian.

Following the report, Korian shares declined on Monday. In Paris, the shares are currently trading at 27.30 euros, down 5.8 percent.

Korian, which employs around 49,000 people, operates Europe's largest network of long-term care nursing homes, specialised clinics, assisted-living facilities, home care and hospital home care services. At the end of December 2017, the company had the capacity to accommodate around 75,000 beds in four countries.
