Hovnanian Climbs Off Worst Levels But Remains Firmly Negative

After showed an early move to the downside, shares of Hovnanian (HOV) have climbed off their worst levels but remain firmly negative in afternoon trading on Thursday. Hovnanian is currently down by 5 percent.

The early sell-off by Hovnanian came after the homebuilder reported a wider fiscal first quarter loss on a steep drop in revenue.

California's insurance regulator has filed a lawsuit against AbbVie Inc. for allegedly giving illegal kickbacks to health care providers to prescribe its arthritis drug Humira. The lawsuit filed in Alameda County Superior Court by the California Department of Insurance alleges that private insurers have paid out $1.2 billion in Humira-related pharmacy claims.
