Cooper Companies Board Names Albert White CEO - Quick Facts

The Cooper Companies, Inc. (COO) announced its Board has named Albert White III President and CEO, effective May 1, 2018. White will succeed Robert Weiss who will retire as President and Chief Executive Officer on April 30, 2018, and then act in an advisory capacity until December 31, 2018.

White has held a number of senior management roles in the company including most recently Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and CEO of Cooper Medical, Inc., the holding company for CooperSurgical.

In a move likely to further inflame global trade tensions, President Donald Trump has threatened to impose a 20 percent tariff on all cars imported to the U.S. from the European Union.
