Malaysia Jobless Rate Falls In February

Malaysia's unemployment rate decreased slightly in February, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Monday.

The jobless rate edged down to 3.3 percent in February from 3.4 percent in January.

In the corresponding month last year, the unemployment rate was 3.5 percent.

The number of unemployed people declined to 508,500 in February from 516,500 in the previous month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 514,800.

The labor force participation rate remained unchanged at 68.2 percent in February.
