Campbell Soup CEO Denise Morrison To Retire - Quick Facts

Campbell Soup Company (CPB) announced that Denise Morrison, President, CEO and a Director, has chosen to retire effective immediately. Keith McLoughlin, a Campbell Board member since 2016, has been named interim CEO.

Keith McLoughlin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Electrolux AB, a global manufacturer of major household appliances, from 2011 until February 2016.

The company said its recently elevated Chief Operating Officer Luca Mignini focuses on the integration of newly acquired Snyder's-Lance and Pacific Foods and stabilizing the company's U.S. soup business.

Starbucks Coffee Co. said Tuesday it is expanding its "Starbucks Delivers" pilot to an additional six cities across the U.S. The expansion of the delivery service, in partnership with Uber Eats, begins today in San Francisco, the first of six new markets to offer the service to customers. The coffee giant plans to bring Starbucks Delivers to nearly one-quarter of U.S. company-operated stores. The Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras or APBA has signed an agreement to collaborate with Tradelens, a blockchain technology-based shipping platform, Europa News reported. The year-ago quarter's results included the impact of a hefty charge related to the U.S. tax reform. Quarterly sales increased 1.0% from the prior year. Both adjusted earnings per share and quarterly sales topped analysts' expectations.
