Ariana Grande Addresses Pete Davidson's Manchester Joke

Pop queen, Ariana Grande has finally spoken up about a hurtful comment made by her fiancé, Pete Davidson, last year.

During a stand-up set at a benefit to aid Peurto Rico last fall, Davidson joked about the terrorist bombing attack at Grande's Manchester concert; inadvertently teasing her about her fame, he said "Britney Spears didn't have a terrorist attack at her concert," to the utter shock and disgust of many viewers, some of whom had lost loved ones in the attack in question.

The joke recently resurfaced and one of Grande's fans took to Twitter to express her anger about it thusly; "...I don't know why she is still with Pete, like yeah he made that joke a while ago, but like it's not funny, it's just rude. This is my opinion."

To this, Grande replied with honesty and openness, by saying "this has been v tough & conflicting on my heart. he uses comedy to help ppl feel better ab how f-ed up things in this world are. we all deal w trauma differently. I of course didn't find it funny. it was months ago & his intention wasn't/ is never malicious but it was unfortunate."

While some have sympathized with this perspective, others aren't quite buying it and responded to her tweet, asking why Davidson hadn't yet publicly apologized for it.
