ASOS Plc 4-month Retail Sales Up 22% On Reported Basis - Quick Facts

ASOS Plc (ASOMY.PK,ASOMF.PK,ASC.L) reported total group revenue of 823.9 million pounds for the four months ended 30 June 2018 compared to 675.8 million pounds, prior year, up 22% on reported basis, and up 21% in constant currency. Total retail sales for the period were 802.7 million pounds, up 22% on a reported basis and up 21% in constant currency.

Nick Beighton, CEO, said: "I am pleased with the way the business has traded over the last four months and we are on track with our plans for the year. We delivered good sales growth, particularly in the UK, better than planned gross margin alongside significant progress on our infrastructure investments. P4 trading has started well, particularly in terms of full price sell through. We remain confident of delivering another year of strong growth."

For fiscal 2018, the company expects: sales growth within the 25-30% range, likely towards the lower end; and profit before tax to be in line with consensus.

The Group's medium term guidance is unchanged; 20-25% sales growth p.a. at a circa 4% EBIT margin.
