Valmont Reduces Full-Year Outlook - Quick Facts

Valmont Industries, Inc. (VMI) announced, for 2018, the company now expects adjusted EPS in the range of $7.55 - $7.65, down from prior guidance range of $8.00 - $8.10. Revenue Growth is now projected to be 4%, down from previous outlook of 7%.

For the second-quarter, Valmont projects earnings per share to be in the range of $1.50 - $1.53 (GAAP) and $1.92 - $1.95 (adjusted). Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report profit per share of $2.23 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

"While market challenges in the second quarter have led us to adjust our revenue and profitability outlook for the full year, we remain positive on our business. The market drivers for our Utility business remain strong, and we continue to pursue opportunities for global market expansion," said Stephen Kaniewski, CEO.
