Sweden August Budget Surplus Below Forecast

Sweden's central government surplus came in below its official forecast, data from the Swedish National Debt Office showed Friday.

The budget surplus was SEK 24.9 billion versus the Debt Office's forecast of SEK 27.3 billion.

The difference was mainly due to higher net lending to government agencies, the Debt Office said.
