The Smashing Pumpkins are planning to reissue their pair of Machina albums.

Machina/The Machines Of God and Machina II/The Friends & Enemies Of Modern Music were originally released 18 years ago.

The two albums will be "released together as originally conceived," Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan revealed in a Q&A session on Instagram.

In response to a question of if the Machina reissue will reveal the Machina mystery, he said he "will explain everything."

"Christ consciousness and the disassembly of what I'd once believed in," were the main inspiration for the Machina album, according to Corgan.

He agrees that "Age of Innocence" is one of his finest songs, "But not fit for Machina sequence."

And his favorite song? Its "With Every Light." "I go back and forth on it," he said.
