European Economics Preview: Germany's Industrial Output Data Due

Industrial production from Germany and investor confidence from euro area are due on Monday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 1.45 am ET, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs releases Swiss unemployment data. The jobless rate is forecast to drop slightly to 2.5 percent in September from 2.6 percent in August.

At 2.00 am ET, Destatis is slated to issue Germany's industrial production data. Output is forecast to grow 0.5 percent on month in August, reversing a 1.1 percent drop in July.

Norway's industrial output data is also due at 2.00 am ET.

At 3.00 am ET, Czech industrial production and retail sales figures are due. Economists forecast industrial production to grow 3.9 percent on year in August, slower than the 10.3 percent rise in July.

Likewise, the Czech retail sales growth is expected to ease to 4.3 percent in August from 7 percent a month ago.

At 4.30 am ET, Eurozone Sentix investor confidence data is due. The sentiment index is forecast to drop to 11.8 in October from 12 in September.
