Imperial Brands FY18 Profit Declines; Revenue Up 1% - Quick Facts

Imperial Brands PLC reported that its fiscal year 2018 profit before tax decreased to 1.82 billion pounds from 1.86 billion pounds, prior year. Basic earnings per share was 143.6 pence compared to 147.6 pence. Adjusted earnings per share was 272.2 pence compared to 267.0 pence.

Fiscal year revenue improved 0.9% to 30.52 billion pounds from a year ago. Tobacco & NGP net revenue was 7.73 billion pounds compared to 7.76 billion pounds.

The Board has approved a further interim dividend of 65.46 pence per share and will propose a final dividend of 65.46 pence per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 187.79 pence per share.

Ford Motor Co. plans to launch an all-electric plugin version of its popular F-150 pickup truck. The announcement was made by Jim Farley, Ford's president of Global Markets, during a presentation at the Deutsche Bank Global Automotive Conference in Detroit. The San Francisco-based retailer said that along with its U.S. subsidiaries, it has filed a petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
