TransDigm Group Inc. (TDG) reported third quarter EPS of $0.87 Tuesday morning, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.79. The company also increased its full year 2009 EPS guidance to between $3.36 and $3.42, from prior expectations of $3.19 to $3.31. TransDigm Group gapped up Tuesday and climbed steadily throughout the second half of the morning. Shares finished up by $4.81 at $44.80 on above average volume. The stock surged past resistance and set a new high for the year.
