Human Genome Sciences (HGSI) and GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK) announced Monday morning that BENLYSTA met the primary endpoint in the second of two Phase 3 trials in seropositive patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Human Genome Sciences gapped open sharply higher Monday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. Shares finished up by $6.59 at $25.28 on the highest volume in 3 months. The stock rose above a 2-month range and set a new high for the year.
