Assured Guaranty Ltd. (AGO) gapped up slightly Friday and spiked sharply higher in early trade. The stock settled into a range for the majority of the session and closed up by $3.56 at $21.66 on the highest volume in 2 1/2 months. Assured Guaranty has been rising for the past week and re-crossed its 50-day moving average. The stock broke out past resistance Friday and closed at a new high for the year.
