Community Health Systems (CYH) traded to the upside for the majority of the first half of Wednesday's session. The stock traded in a range for the remainder of the day and finished up by $1.97 at $27.24 on the highest volume of the year. Community Health Systems has been rising since the beginning of the week and closed Wednesday at over a 7 1/2 month high.
