Accenture Ltd. (ACN) reported third quarter EPS of $0.68 after the bell Thursday, down from the $0.74 posted last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.64. The company also raised its full year 2009 EPS guidance to between $2.67 and $2.70, from prior expectations of $2.60 to $2.67. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.64.
Accenture Ltd. gapped up Friday and climbed during the first hour of trade. Shares advanced further for the majority of the afternoon and closed higher by $2.08 at $33.72. Accenture rose above a 2-week range and finished at over a 5-month high.
