After-Market Movers For Apr. 26 (KEYN, SEM, REGN, UHS, MIPS, BRCM, LDK)

Gainers:

Keynote Systems Inc. (KEYN), Tuesday gained more than 10 percent in the after-hours trading in the Nasdaq, as it posted a profit for the second quarter over a net loss last year. The company also provided earnings outlook for the third quarter, which is indicated to be above the Street expectations.

Select Medical Holdings Corp. (SEM) provided earnings outlook for the first quarter, which is indicated to be well above the analysts' consensus. The company also reaffirmed its earnings forecast for fiscal 2011. The company gained more than 9 percent in the extended-hours trading in the NYSE.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. (REGN) said that its investigational agent Zaltrap, also known as VEGF Trap, met its primary endpoint in a phase III trial. The data showed that Zaltrap improves overall survival in the second-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer. Following the news, the company gained more than 7 percent in the after-hours trading in the Nasdaq.

Hospital operator Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS) gained more than 5 percent in the after-hours trading in the NYSE, as it reported a better-than-expected profit for the first quarter. The company also raised its earnings outlook for fiscal 2011.

Losers:

MIPS Technologies Inc. (MIPS) lost more than 11 percent in the after-hours trading in the Nasdaq, as its profit for the third quarter failed to meet the Street estimate.

Broadcom Corp. (BRCM) said its profit for the first quarter increased by 8.5 percent from a year ago, as strong demand for its semiconductors lifted revenues by over 24 percent. However, the company detailed a weak revenue outlook for the second quarter that is short of current Street estimates. The news sent Broadcom shares down by nearly 8 percent in after hours trade in the Nasdaq.

Photovoltaic products maker LDK Solar Co. Ltd. (LDK) lost more than 4 percent in the extended-hours trading in the NYSE, as it lowered revenue outlook for the first quarter.
