Pre-market Movers For June 15 (JCP, KFY, CNTF, OI, BBEP, AVEO, SMG, SPWRA)

Gainers:

Korn/Ferry International (KFY) is up 5% to $22.56 as it reported higher earnings and revenue for its fourth quarter. The company forecast first quarter earnings per share in the range of $0.30 to $0.36, versus Wall Street view of $0.31.

China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Ltd. (CNTF) is rising 9% to $4.74 based on the news that it will launch a new mobile social media solution in China called "17Talk", along with "17Store", through its subsidiary TechSoft, a joint venture company with QUALCOMM Inc. (QCOM).

Decliners:

Owens-Illinois, Inc. (OI) is declining 7% to $27.61 as it said that challenging market conditions in Asia Pacific and higher manufacturing costs will negatively impact its second quarter results. The company currently expects second quarter adjusted net earnings to be down from the prior year period.

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (JCP) is currently down 2% to $34.63. The company's stock rallied in yesterday's regular session based on the news that it has named Ron Johnson as its new chief executive officer, effective November 1, 2011.

Breitburn Energy Partners L.P. (BBEP) is down 6% to $19.32 as Quicksilver Resources Inc. (KWK) plans public offering of 7 million units of BBEP. Quicksilver currently owns approximately 15.60 million units of BBEP.

AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AVEO) is falling 8% to $17.55 based on the news that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock.

Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. (SMG), a marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products, is down 5% to $49.75 as it lowered its earnings outlook for fiscal 2011 reflecting continued challenges of unfavorable weather in most of the United States. The company noted that weather has been the primary driver for the shortfall all the way through May.

SunPower Corp. (SPWRA) is sliding 16% to $17.39 in pre-market trading.
