The house in Long Branch, New Jersey, where Bruce Springsteen lived while writing the classic album Born to Run is up for sale.

The one-story, traditional southern shotgun-style house is 928-square-feet and has high ceilings, two bedrooms, living room, galley kitchen, front porch and back patio. It is going for $299,000.

The house's realtor, Susan McLaughlin, told Bloomberg.com that the home "does have a lot of possibilities as a summer cottage." She added, "It's great for someone who wants a little beach place."

The house has reportedly changed little since the 1974-1975 stretch when Springsteen rented it.

"It has a newer bathroom and it is in essentially the same condition that it was when Bruce lived there," McLaughlin told APP.com
