(RTTNews) - Thursday, U.S. Global Investors, Inc. (GROW:
News ) reported a decline in profit for the fourth quarter, as revenues plunged significantly.
U.S. Global Investors' net income for the fourth quarter declined to $0.96 million or $0.06 per share from $3.84 million or $0.25 per share in the previous year.
Total revenue for the quarter declined to $6.47 million from $16.96 million from the corresponding quarter last year.
For the fiscal 2009, net loss was $2.24 million or $0.15 per share, compared to an income of $10.84 million or $0.71 per share in fiscal 2008. Total revenue for the year declined to $23.14 million from $56.04 million last year.
GROW closed Thursday's regular trading at $13.78, up $0.94 or 7.32%, on a volume of 301K shares on the Nasdaq. In after hours, the stock went down $0.72 or 5.22%, trading at $13.06.
