(RTTNews) - Wednesday, Houston-based natural gas company, Copano Energy, L.L.C. (CPNO:
News ) revealed the appointment of Carl Luna as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Luna, has served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development and Interim Chief Financial Officer at Copano since August this year.
Luna joined Copano in 2005, and was elected Vice President, Finance in 2006. Prior to joining Copano, Luna served as Vice President in the Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group of J.P. Morgan Securities Inc.
John Eckel, Copano Energy's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Since stepping up as interim Chief Financial Officer on short notice in August, Luna's performance has been outstanding, and after careful consideration, Copano's management team concluded that he should be elected Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. My fellow members of Copano's senior management are delighted that Copano's Board of Directors reached the same conclusion."
As Chief Financial Officer, Luna will report directly to Eckel and have responsibility for all Copano Energy financial functions, including investor relations and corporate development.
CPNO closed Wednesday's regular trading at $19.89 up $0.50 or 2.58% on a volume of 0.364 million shares on the Nasdaq. In after hours, the stock declined to $19.72, down $0.17 or 0.85%.
