(RTTNews) - Cytec Industries Inc. (CYT: News ) reported third quarter EPS of $0.57 after the bell Thursday, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.34. The company also increased its full year 2009 EPS guidance to between $0.80 and $1.00, from prior expectations of $0.60 to $0.90.

Shares of Cytec Industries Inc. climbed for the majority of Friday's session and finished up by $3.55 at $38.11 on the highest volume in nearly 4 months. The stock has been gaining ground for the last 2 weeks and set a new high for the year.
