(RTTNews) - Mettler-Toledo International (MTD:
News ) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $1.36 after the bell Thursday, down from the $1.44 posted last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.18. The company expects to report fourth quarter EPS of $1.90 to $2.00, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.88. The company also increased its full year EPS guidance to between $5.39 and $5.50, from prior expectations of $4.92 to $5.42.
Mettler-Toledo International gapped open sharply higher Friday and climbed in early trade. Shares gave back some ground around midday, but finished up by $3.90 at $97.50 on above average volume. The stock rose above a month and a half long range and set a new high for the year.
