(RTTNews) - Earnings reports from retailers are likely to remain the center of investors' attention, with giants such as Wal-Mart, Kohl's, JC Penny reporting later this week. Some of the companies reporting early in the week include...

Engineering and construction firm Fluor Corp. (FLR: News ) is scheduled to release its third-quarter results after the market closes Monday, with analysts forecasting earnings of $0.90 per share on revenues of $5.49 billion. In mid-August, the company said it maintained its 2009 earnings guidance of $3.80 - $4.10 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to post earnings of $3.85 per share for the full year 2009.

Bond insurer MBIA Inc. (MBI: News ) will announce its third-quarter results after the market closes on November 9, as analysts are projecting a loss of $1.05 per share. In the previous quarter, the company earned $894.7 million or $4.30 per share, on revenues of $992.1 million.

Industrial automation solutions provider Rockwell Automation Inc. (ROK: News ) is set to report its fourth-quarter results before the market opens Monday, with analysts expecting earnings of $0.27 per share, on revenues of $1.05 billion. Recently, the company reaffirmed its fiscal 2009 earnings forecast of $1.40 - $1.70 per share, excluding restructuring charges.

For Sempra Energy (SRE: News ), analysts are expecting earnings of $1.19 per share, on revenues of $2.16 billion for the third quarter. The results are due to be released on November 9 at 9:00 am ET. While reporting second-quarter numbers, the company had reaffirmed its 2009 earnings-per-share guidance range of $4.35 - $4.60.

Oil refiner Tesoro Corp. (TSO: News ) will announce its third-quarter results before the market opens Monday, with analysts projecting earnings of $0.01 per share on revenues of $4.71 billion.
Telecommunications services provider Windstream Communications (WIN: News ) is slated to report third-quarter results on November 9, with analysts forecasting earnings of $0.21 per share on revenues of $747.03 million.

Monday's earnings schedule includes Boots & Coots Inc. (WEL: News ), DISH Network Corp. (DISH: News ), Golden Star Resources Ltd. (GSS: News ), Great Basin Gold (GBG: News ), GTx Inc. (GTXI: News ), Harvest Energy Trust (HTE: News ), Liberty Media Corp. (LINTA: News ), McDermott International Inc. (MDR: News ), Nippon Telegraph And Telephone Corp. (NTT: News ), Pengrowth Energy Trust (PGH: News ), Priceline.com (PCLN: News ).

Diversified conglomerate Tyco International Ltd. (TYC: News ) will issue its fourth-quarter results before the market opens Tuesday, with analysts forecasting earnings of $0.54 per share on revenues of $4.32 billion.

Hopes of Diffusion of European Debt Crisis May Lead to Some Bargain Hunting
The major U.S. index futures are pointing to a higher opening on Tuesday, with European debt concerns receding following indications from European Commission officials that they may step in to save Greece from getting mired in the debt crisis. Commodity prices are extending their gains and this coupled with the oversold levels of the markets may support a bounce back. Given the fact that the wholesale inventories report to be released after the markets close is not market moving, the markets may derive support from hopes that the economic revival may not lose steam despite the surrounding uncertainty.
