The stock closed Tuesday's trade at $19.80, up 174% from its May 15 opening price of $7.23. During this period, the stock touched an all-time high of $32.68 on September 15, up 352%, before correcting to the present value.

Diedrich Coffee Inc. (DDRX: News ) was featured on our Stocks to Watch column on April 21, after turning around to a third-quarter profit. The stock has certainly traveled a mighty distance from its April 21 opening price of $3.70, to its Tuesday closing price of $26.30, up 611%. During this period, the stock touched a maximum price of $31.34 on October 26, up 747%, before correcting to the present value. Diedrich is being acquired by Peet's Coffee & Tea Inc. (PEET) for about $213 million or $26 per share in a cash and stock deal.

(LVS: News ) made its way into our Stocks to Watch column on April 2, after the company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sheldon Adelson, made a huge bet on the stock, by buying 7.8 million shares for $23.2 million, averaging to $2.95/share between March 27 and March 30. From its April 2 opening price of $4.07, the stock closed Tuesday's trade at $16.97, gaining 317%. During this period, the stock peaked at $20.73 on September 16, gaining 409%, before correcting to the present value.
