(RTTNews) - Industrial products and components maker Dover Corp. (DOV:
News ), Tuesday said its subsidiary Hill PHOENIX has acquired Barker Co. Ltd. and its sister company, Barker Sales and Service, Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition will merge Barker as part of Specialty Products Division of the Hill PHOENIX and complement specialty product offerings of Hill PHOENIX. The acquisition will also help enable the company to meet increasing demand for more specialized and highly customized products.
Ray Hoglund, President of Dover's Engineered Systems segment, stated, "This acquisition is an excellent fit and it puts Hill PHOENIX in a better position to serve customers in its Specialty Products division."
Keosauqua, Iowa-based Barker, specializes in manufacturing refrigerated, non-refrigerated and hot display cases, generated full-year 2009 revenue of $70 million.
Robert Livingston, Dover's president and chief executive officer said, "As a Company, Dover will continue to pursue synergistic add-on acquisitions like these that leverage our portfolio companies' strengths and enhance value for Dover and its shareholders."
DOV is currently trading at $42.43, down $0.44 or 1.03%, on a volume of 0.51 million shares.
