The late Kurt Cobain's daughter is reportedly in the middle of a college hunt, eying up some of the country's top institutions.

Seventeen-year-old Francis Bean Cobain recently tweeted, "In Tivoli NYC visiting my friend Lola who attends Bard college & im (sic) sort of fascinated with the School."

Bard is a small liberal arts college in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, about two hours away from New York City.

"She's really conservative in a good way," said Francis' mother and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love. "She's going to college. She's looking at colleges. She's in her last year of school. She wants to go to an Ivy League school [where she'll study] fine art, maybe film."

Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding the use of Kurt Cobain's image in Activision's popular Band Hero video game continues to heat up. Earlier this week, a game user posted online videos of Cobain singing a duet of the Village People's "YMCA" with country legend Johnny Cash. Love has gone on record saying she finds this use of Cobain's image "vile" comparing it to "necrophilia."
