News ) reported first quarter EPS of $0.78 Tuesday morning, up from $0.57 last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.62. The company now expects to report full year 2010 income from continuing operations of $3.05 to $3.30 per share, compared with prior expectations of $2.85 to $3.10.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store gapped up Tuesday and spiked higher in early trade. The stock settled into a range for the majority of the session and closed up by $2.70 at $38.07 on the highest volume in over 8 months. Shares climbed above a 2-month range and set a new high for the year.
