(RTTNews) - Carrie Underwood's two-hour holiday-themed show, Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special, will air on Fox this Monday from 7 to 9 PM Eastern Time.
The country star, who has promised viewers "a big bash of awesome music," is slated to perform several new songs from her latest chart-topping album, Play On. The show will also feature Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, Christina Applegate, Songs of Sylvia, Kristin Chenoweth, David Cook and co-director Adam Shankman.
"I hate to give away too much information, but . . . one of my favorite moments, of course, is singing with Dolly," Underwood said. "We kind of did one of her classics that many should recognize, but it was an amazing moment in the show and she was so great. I thought we sounded really good together."
The former American Idol winner not only sings but also performs some comedy, having put together a tuneful skit with Applegate and Chenoweth.
"As you'll see on this special, it's not just about her singing on this," the show's producer Nigel Lythgoe said. "It's about her comedy timing and everything else."
Interviews and clips of the special are now available online.
