A truck driver was stabbed to death along the northbound Edens Expressway late last week, forcing closure of all northbound lanes.
The man was found lying by a tractor-trailer parked by the side of the highway at Tower Road near Northbrook. He was then taken to Highland Park Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a little after noon.
The man's identity was not released pending notification of his family. The truck belongs to Pehler & Son Trucking in Arcadia, Wis.
Blood was spotted on the steps of the driver's side door and the road, according to police. The incident was reported at around 11 AM.
